Manufacturing Day, celebrated annually on the first Friday in October, is an opportunity to recognize the importance and value of a vibrant, diversified and thriving manufacturing sector throughout the country. As the nation recognizes this occasion, Gore and the Cecil County Office of Economic Development are especially proud to celebrate manufacturing in Cecil County.
Earlier this week, the Cecil County Office of Economic Development hosted Cecil Tech Connect at W. L. Gore & Associates to offer an inside look at how innovation takes shape inside the county’s largest private employer. Featured speaker, Tammy Noel, a leader within Gore’s Aerospace & Defense business, shared insights with attendees on how innovation moves from idea to impact at Gore. The event brought together founders, engineers, technology leaders, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, investors and others for an evening of networking and exchange of ideas to help strengthen the community’s growing technology and innovation network.
In honor of October 2 as Manufacturing Day, Gore recognizes the sector’s impact on the economy as a driver for innovation and growth in the region.
