Elixir® Strings, produced at one of Gore’s facilities in Cecil County, Maryland provide amateur and professional guitarists alike with strings widely acclaimed for their high-quality tone and long lifespan.
Recently, our Elixir® Strings team donated more than 60 sets of new guitar strings to the musicians at Seven Oaks Senior Center during their weekly guitar session in Perry Hall. The donated strings included different gauges for acoustic, electric and bass guitars.
Seven Oaks offers its older Maryland musicians a chance to exercise their passion for making music, encouraging socialization while uplifting talent and even, according to the Center’s program leaders, enhancing memory.
During our visit, Gore Associates engaged with the musicians to answer their questions about strings in general, but also to provide some hands-on technical support such as how to properly restring their own guitars.
At Gore, we are committed to contributing to our community in meaningful ways, including supporting the work of local organizations helping our neighbors and friends. Thank you to the members and staff of Seven Oaks Senior Center for including us in this popular and innovative program for seniors.
