2026 Summer Picnic: Gore Continues Tradition of Celebrating Associates and Giving Back to the Community

Around 2,200 Associates and family members attended Gore’s annual summer picnic at the Fair Hill Fairgrounds in Cecil County, Maryland. Featuring family-friendly games, pony rides, a petting zoo and 20-plus food vendors, the event built on our rich tradition of Associate celebrations and team building, dating back to pool parties at our founders’ home in the 1960s. We also continued our tradition of giving back to the communities where Associates and their families work and live.

At the picnic, Gore announced a three-year commitment to the Education Foundation for Cecil County Public Schools (CCPS) with a $10,000 annual donation. The Foundation supports equal opportunity education initiatives for CCPS students, including  STEM and Lead the Way mentorship and capstone projects, internship postings, grant programs and more.

We also donated $10,000 to ChristianaCare’s Women’s Health and Opportunity Fund, a new campaign from the largest health care system in Delaware and Cecil County, Maryland. Gore has supported ChristianaCare’s programs for over four decades, strengthening our commitment to quality health care for the local community.

The Women’s Health and Opportunity Fund serves as a special tribute to honor Dr. Janice E. Nevin, President and CEO of ChristianaCare, ahead of her retirement at the end of the year. The Fund seeks to advance the health, stability and long-term well-being of women and their families.

Representatives from the CCPS Education Foundation and the ChristianaCare’s Office of Philanthropy accepted the donations at the Gore Eastern Cluster 2026 Summer Picnic.

We are proud to support organizations that strengthen the well-being and education of our Associates and their families.
