Gore has taken a scientific, data-driven approach to guide the site investigation. As part of this work, we sampled more than 90 residential wells in the areas identified in the plans we submitted to MDE.
In support of their science-based data-driven approach, Gore has collected hundreds of data point to inform the site investigation. Data collection has included residential water, monitoring wells, and soil borings.
As we are actively investigating the presence of PFOA in the groundwater near our facilities, we are responding to community concerns by proactively offering residents within the water sampling area bottled water, installing Point-of-Entry Treatment (POET) water filtration systems, and funding connections to public water infrastructure where available.
